  51.  SOFTWARE LICENSE
  52.  
  53.  Non-licensed users are granted a limited license to use
  54.  WinXFiles on a 30-day trial basis for the purpose of
  55.  determining whether WinXFiles is suitable for their
  56.  needs.  The use of WinXFiles, except for the initial
  57.  30-day trial, requires registration.  The use of
  58.  unlicensed copies of WinXFiles, outside of the initial
  59.  30-day trial, by any person, business, corporation,
  60.  government agency or any other entity is strictly
  61.  prohibited.
  62.  
  63.  A license for personal use that grants
  64.  the user the right to use WinXFiles on one computer may be purchased.
  65.  A commercial license requires sufficient licensing
  66.  equal to the number of users, or the quantity
  67.  of workstations that access the software, whichever is
  68.  smaller.
  69.  
  70.  No one may modify or patch the WinXFiles executable files
  71.  in any way, including but not limited to decompiling,
  72.  disassembling, or otherwise reverse engineering the
  73.  programs.

  75.  A limited license is granted to copy and distribute
  76.  WinXFiles only for the trial use of others, subject
  77.  to the above limitations, and also the following:
  78.  
  79.   1)    WinXFiles and all of its release files must be
  80.         copied in unmodified form, complete with the file
  81.         containing this license information.

  83.   2)    No fee, charge, or other compensation may be requested
  84.         or accepted, except as authorized below:
  85.  
  86.         A) Operators of electronic bulletin board systems
  87.            (sysops) may make WinXFiles available for down-
  88.            loading only as long as the above conditions are
  89.            met.  An overall or time-dependent charge for the
  90.            use of the bulletin board system is permitted as
  91.            long as there is not a specific charge for the
  92.            download of WinXFiles.

  94.         B) Vendors of user-supported or shareware software
  95.            approved by the ASP may distribute WinXFiles,
  96.            subject to the above conditions, without specific
  97.            permission.

  99.         C) Non-profit user groups may distribute copies of
  100.            the WinXFiles diskette to their members,
  101.            subject to the above conditions, without specific
  102.            permission.  Non-profit groups may collect a disk
  103.            duplication fee not to exceed five dollars.

  105.   LIMITED WARRANTY
  106.  
  107.   PEPSOFTWARE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR
  108.   IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES
  109.   OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE,
  110.   WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCT.  SHOULD THE PROGRAM PROVE
  111.   DEFECTIVE, THE PURCHASER ASSUMES THE RISK OF PAYING THE
  112.   ENTIRE COST OF ALL NECESSARY SERVICING, REPAIR, OR 
  113.   CORRECTION AND ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
  114.   IN NO EVENT WILL PEPSOFTWARE BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER
  115.   (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF
  116.   BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF BUSINESS
  117.   INFORMATION AND THE LIKE) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR THE
  118.   INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT EVEN IF PEPSOFTWARE
  119.   HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
